Dear Edison Parents and Legal Guardians,
Welcome to the start of an incredible 2026–2027 school year!
As we open our doors once again, we are overflowing with energy, gratitude, and
anticipation for everything we are going to achieve together. Above all, we want to say
thank you. Your unwavering partnership, trust, and enthusiasm are the heart of the
Edison community, and we are deeply honored to walk alongside you as we support
your children’s journeys.
This year, our campuses are buzzing with new life. We’ve continued to upgrade and
refresh our facilities to create safe, inspiring spaces where learning thrives. We’ve also
welcomed dynamic new educators and staff members who bring extraordinary passion,
fresh ideas, and a shared dedication to helping every child shine.
Together, we are rallying around three bold, purposeful goals for 2026–2027:
- Elevating Academic Achievement: We are pushing the boundaries of
excellence—challenging our students to dream big, reach higher, and celebrate
every victory along the way.
- Fostering Belonging and Well-Being: Every child deserves to feel safe, valued,
and genuinely happy at school. We are committed to nurturing an inclusive
environment where every student knows they belong.
- Enhancing Daily Attendance & Engagement: Every single day matters. When
students are here, they connect, grow, and build the momentum needed for a
bright future.
I am also thrilled to reintroduce the visionary leadership team driving our schools
forward: Rose Banuelos, our committed Preschool Director. Desiree Kindig, our
dedicated Elementary School Principal, Russell Shipley and Eric Rumbo, the inspiring
Principals of Edison Middle School. All bring unmatched passion, experience, and
energy to their campuses, and they are excited to collaborate closely with you to ensure
our students thrive.
Great schools aren't built in isolation—they are built together. With your continued
support, we have the power to make Edison a beacon of innovation, trust, and
unstoppable growth. The foundation is set, and the possibilities for this year are
limitless.
Thank you for being our strongest partners. Let’s make the 2026–2027 school year our
most phenomenal one yet!
With deepest gratitude and excitement,
Dr. Jairo Arellano
